Schematic Design drawings and the Schematic Design Narrative were distributed for review and comments in early October 2009. A work session with College planners, Clients and the A&E team was held on 10/7/09. Based upon what is being proposed the following is emerging;
- Science East will have overall building support spaces on the bottom level with the upper three levels being a mixture of faculty offices and classrooms for the Mathematics department.
- Science West will have the Math Center on the lower level and classrooms on the upper level.
- The large lecture hall in SW will remain but in a new configuration.
- IT will have a MDF and a stacked IDF on each floor in both buildings. Service entrances into the MDF's will be through conduit from the new campus conduit system.
- During renovation of Science East a temporary system service will be constructed from Computer Science to Science West to maintain services in SW while Science East is renovated, then the temporary service will be removed when the permanent service path is constructed.
